Midfielder Connor Lemonheigh Evans has been rewarded for his stunning start to life back at Edgeley Park by being nominated for the PFA League Two Fans’ Player of the Month award for January.
Since being recalled from his loan spell at fellow League Two side AFC Wimbledon, Connor has come straight back in to the starting line-up and played a key role in wins over Walsall and Doncaster Rovers – grabbing a goal and an assist against the latter in a 5-1 victory for County.
Those performances and results helped us end the month five points clear at the top of League Two and in control of our own destiny as we bid for a return to League One.
