It’s day number five of our #CountyChristmas countdown, and today we look back on all the goals scored in 2019 by Hatters favourite and man mountain at the back, Ash Palmer!*

After signing at the start of last season, Ash has been a mainstay in the side ever since, notorious for his no-nonsense defending and remarkable ability to win everything in the air.
With that in mind, Ash has developed a remarkable habit of cropping up with crucial goals for the Hatters – six so far this year, at the time of writing, including famous goals against Curzon Ashton, Wrexham, and of course at Nuneaton as he set us on course for the title.
Not only has he become the scourge of attakcers and defenders alike, he also won’t have endeared himself to many bookmakers this year, with ‘Ash Palmer First Goalscorer’ now a favourite bet of many County fans, who have already been able to cash in on that twice this season.
He’s also proven to be much the lucky charm for the Hatter – who have never lost a League game in which he has scored in, so here’s to many more memorable goals for the man with the magic hat!
