County have been drawn into Group A of the Northern Section of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, where we will face Tranmere Rovers and Accrington Stanley.
The Hatters faced both sides last season on the road to being crowned League Two Champions, completing a league double over Accrington and taking three points against Tranmere.
Dave Challinor’s side will discover their third group-stage opponent on Thursday 27th June at 2.30pm, with the draw taking place live on Sky Sports News to determine each group’s U21s side. The U21s teams invited into the Northern Section this year are Aston Villa, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
County reached the Second Round of the competition last season, progressing from a group including Bolton Wanderers, Salford City and Manchester United U21s before losing out 2-0 at Wigan Athletic in the knockout stage.
Dates for each of our group stage fixtures will be announced in due course.
