Referee Adam Herczeg has been selected to take charge of Saturday’s League Two fixture between County and Doncaster Rovers at Edgeley Park.
Herczeg refereed County three times last season in what was his first full campaign as an EFL official, overseeing our defeats away at Stevenage and Grimsby Town, as well as a 1-1 draw at home to Salford City. He was also in charge for two games involving Doncaster Rovers; their 1-0 win at Newport in December, and a 2-0 defeat at home to Northampton Town in March.
The official oversaw 26 games in all competitions last season, the majority in League Two, during which time he issued 81 yellow cards, two red cards and awarded three penalties.
Across eight games so far this season, four in League One and four in League Two, Herczeg has shown 27 yellows, no reds and given two penalties. His last game came on Tuesday night in League Two, in the middle for Mansfield Town’s 0-0 draw at home to Wrexham.
The Assistant Referees on Saturday will be Jacob Lehane and Graeme Fyvie, whilst Daniel Middleton will be on Fourth Official duties.
