Junior Academy February Update
We are now drawing to the end of our first season since the re-Launch of the Junior Academy and for me personally it has been a fantastic one. The coaches have worked tirelessly with the players developing them the Stockport County way. The players have been amazing in soaking in that information and transferring that onto the field.
We have recently seen Michael Levendis sign for Liverpool, he is the third player that has been signed by a CAT 1 Academy within the last couple of months which again demonstrates we are providing an excellent platform for players to better themselves as footballers.
There is lots of work going on behind the scenes by the staff but particularly by Damien Allen (Academy Manager), and we are all planning and preparing to go to category status in the summer.
For now, I look forward to a very successful end to the current season, continue planning for next season and finally support the first team on hopefully gaining promotion to the football league.
