Festus Arthur has been named as the winner of the George Haigh Young Player of the Year for the 2019/20 season.
Voted for by SCAN (Stockport County Appearance Number Scheme), Festus picks up the award after an outstanding breakthrough season at Edgeley Park.
After making his first-team debut as a substitute in our 3-2 win over Barrow at Edgeley Park, Festus has quickly gone on to establish himself as a Cult Hero to the County faithful, forming a formidable partnership at the back alongside Ash Palmer.
The 20-year-old has since gone on to make 35 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals in wins over Chorley and FC Halifax.
Congratulations, Festus!
