Saturday’s League Two fixture against Gillingham has been called off due to a frozen pitch.
Despite the exhaustive efforts of the groundstaff to get the game on, including ordering industrial heaters and staying at Edgeley Park overnight in an attempt to maintain the pitch, the sub-zero temperatures throughout this week have made the surface unplayable.
The game will now be rearranged for a later date. Any tickets that have been bought for this game will be valid for the rearranged fixture – anyone unable to attend the rearranged game can contact the ticket office to request a refund.
We will next be in action at home to Crewe Alexandra on Boxing Day.
