Goalkeeper Ben Hinchliffe has been voted by supporters as your Brsk Stockport County Player of the Month for January!
In a month that saw the 35-year-old make his 300th appearance for the Club away at Grimsby, Ben has put in some big performances in goal for County – most notably in our 2-0 win against Northampton Town, where he made several remarkable saves to deny the Cobblers.
The news of the award comes ahead of a historical weekend for Ben, who is set to make his 307th County appearance on Saturday – the most of any goalkeeper in the Club’s history, surpassing Tiger Bowles’ previous record.
In what proved a tight vote, Ben fought off competition from Neill Byrne and Kyle Wootton to become the sixth different winner of the award this season. Congratulations, Ben!
