Hippolyte receives international call-up

County midfielder Myles Hippolyte has again been called up to represent the Grenada national team, in their upcoming CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifying tie against Guyana.

Myles made his international debut for the Caribbean nation back in March, scoring in the side’s defeat against the USA in the CONCACAF Nations League.

The 28-year-old impressed enough to be called up again this month, as the The Spice Boys prepare to take on Guyana in the First Preliminary Round of qualification for the 2023 Gold Cup later this month.

The game is set to take place on Sunday 18th June, 2am KO BST, at the Drive Pink Stadium in Florida. It is a straight knock-out tie, with the winners taking on Trinidad and Tobago or Guadeloupe in the final qualifying tie just a few days later.

The winners of that second tie will qualify for this Summer’s Gold Cup in Canada and the USA, which is due to get underway on Saturday 24th June.

We wish Myles and Grenada the best of luck in their bid for qualification!
