The current SCFC 16-18 years Academy (Senior Academy) was set up back in 2013 and headed by Alan Lord. After the school of excellence closed in 2011, he recognised the need to continue to provide top quality football provision and conserve the club’s reputation for youth development. The core aim remained of developing the next talented young player and providing a pathway to the County first team for those who have what it takes.

We are excited to re-launch our U8 to U16 teams for the 2021-22 season. Lead by Academy Manager Damien Allen and supported by newly appointed Junior Academy Co-Ordinator Adam Jones, and Head of Coaching Marc Maddocks.

“I am really excited and pleased to see the growth of the SCFC Academy with the addition of the Junior Academy (U8-U16 teams) for the 2021-22 season. I know how important local talented youth players have been for the Club in past years and how successful the Club has been in producing young players for the first team going back many years. We have a great history of youth development to celebrate and build upon in the future” Academy Manager Damien Allen.
