Match Officials confirmed for Tranmere game

Christopher Pollard has been selected as the match referee for Saturday’s League Two fixture between league leaders County, and Tranmere Rovers.

Pollard actually refereed the fixture between these two sides at Edgeley Park last season, a game which County ended up winning 3-2. It was the only time he refereed either side during the last campaign.

The official took charge of 19 first-team games in total last season, during which time he issued 61 yellow cards, one red card and awarded one penalty.

In eight games so far this campaign across League One, League Two, the Carabao Cup and the EFL Trophy, Pollard has shown 44 yellows, one red and given two penalties. His last game was in League One last Saturday, as he oversaw Burton Albion’s 4-1 win over Bristol Rovers – showing a red card to Rovers’ Ryan Woods.

The Assistant Referees on Saturday will be Danny Jarvis and Darren Wilding, whilst Jamie O’Connor will be the Fourth Official.
