Referee Thomas Parsons has been selected to take charge of Saturday’s League Two encounter between County and Harrogate Town at the EnviroVent Stadium.
Last season was Parsons’ first as an EFL official and he refereed County on just one occasion in 2022/23, overseeing our 2-2 draw away at Carlisle United in April. He twice took charge of a game involving Harrogate; a 1-0 defeat for the Yorkshire side away at Barrow in August, and a 1-1 draw at home to Northampton Town in February.
The official oversaw 25 first-team games in all competitions last season, mainly in League Two, during which time he showed 113 yellow cards, four red cards and awarded two penalties.
Across nine games in all competitions so far this campaign, Parsons has issued 45 yellow cards, two reds, and has yet to award a penalty kick. His last game came in League One, as he officiated Cambridge United’s 4-0 home defeat to Barnsley on October 3rd.
The Assistant Referees on Saturday will be Kevin Mulraine and Jack Forder, with Stephen Wade on Fourth Official duties.
