Match Officials confirmed for visit of Bristol Rovers

The match officials for Saturday’s League One fixture between County and Bristol Rovers have been confirmed, with Paul Howard set to take charge of the game at Edgeley Park.

The official has refereed County on three previous occasions, overseeing our 3-0 win at Brackley Town in 2017, a 1-1 draw at home to Mansfield Town in March 2023 and a 2-2 draw away at Aldershot Town in the Emirates FA Cup last December.

He also refereed Bristol Rovers on one occasion last season, put in charge of their 3-1 win away at Cheltenham Town in League One back in April.

In total, Howard took charge of 38 first-team fixtures across all competitions last season, during which time he issued 135 yellow cards, four red cards and awarded four penalties.

He has refereed two games so far this season, most recently overseeing QPR’s 2-1 win away at Cambridge in the first round of the Carabao Cup.

The Assistant Referees on Saturday will be Jack Forder-Hay and Niall Felton, whilst Robert Massey-Ellis will be the Fourth Official.
