The match officials for Saturday’s League Two fixture between County and Walsall at the Poundland Bescot Stadium have been confirmed, with Jacob Miles set to referee the game.
It will be the official’s first game as an EFL referee, having been promoted from the National League over the summer. His only previous game involving County game in January 2022, in charge for our 5-0 win away at Barnet during our National League title charge. It will be his first time refereeing Walsall in a game.
Miles took charge of 15 first-team games in the National League last season, as well as seven in the Premier League 2, during which time he issued 71 yellow cards, five red cards and awarded seven penalties. Saturday will be his first game of the new season.
The assistant referees on Saturday will be Adrian Tranter and Jake Topp, whilst Luis Griffiths will be the Fourth Official.
