Referee Alex Chilowicz has been selected to take charge of Tuesday night’s League Two fixture between County and Notts County at Meadow Lane – as we go in search of three points that would secure the League Two title.
The American referee has officiated County once previously, overseeing our 4-0 defeat at Tranmere Rovers back in February. His only time refereeing Notts also came earlier this season, taking charge of their 1-1 draw with Barrow in January.
Chilowicz is in his first season as an EFL referee, having moved over to English football from the MLS over the Summer. He took charge of 27 games in all competitions last season, covering the MLS, the US Open Cup and the CONCACAF Nations League. In that time, he issued 99 yellow cards, four red cards and awarded nine penalties.
Across the 17 games the official has overseen so far this season from the Championship down to League Two, he has shown 58 yellows, no reds and awarded one penalty kick. His last game was in League One on April 6th, when he refereed Reading’s 1-1 draw with Lincoln City.
The Assistant Referees on Tuesday night will be Andrew Aylott and Jonathon Block, whilst Joseph Pettitt will be on Fourth Official duties.
