Referee Adam Herczeg is set to take charge of Saturday’s League One clash between County and Leyton Orient at Edgeley Park.
The official has refereed County on 13 previous occasions, first doing so in our 1-0 defeat away at Spennymoor Town in the National League North, on the opening day of the 2017/18 campaign. More recently, he oversaw us twice last season, taking charge of our 1-0 win against Doncaster Rovers and our 8-0 victory over Sutton United in December.
He also refereed opponents, Leyton Orient last season, in charge for their 3-1 win away at Shrewsbury Town on the final day of the campaign.
That was one of 34 first-team fixtures that Herczeg took charge of last season, from the Championship down to League Two. In that time, he issued 106 yellow cards, three red cards and awarded a total of seven penalties.
So far in 2024/25, he has overseen four games across League One, League Two and the Carabao Cup, showing 15 yellows, no reds and awarding two penalties in that time. He was last in action on September 14th, refereeing Northampton Town’s 2-1 defeat at home to Wycombe Wanderers in League ONe.
The Assistant Referees on Saturday will be Adam Burgess and Mark Cunliffe, whilst Richard Aspinall will be the Fourth Official.
