Match Officials | Lincoln City (A)

Benjamin Speedie has been confirmed as the match referee for Saturday’s League One fixture between County and Lincoln City at the LNER Stadium.

Speedie has refereed County on 12 previous occasions, first doing so in our 3-1 defeat away to Tamworth in 2017. More recently, he oversaw our 1-0 home defeats to Gillingham and Aldershot Town last season. It will be his first time officiating a game involving Lincoln City since January 2023, when he oversaw their 0-0 draw away at MK Dons.

The official took charge of 36 games across all competitions last season, during which time he issued 110 yellow cards, four red cards and awarded seven penalty kicks.

So far this season, Speedie has refereed eleven games across League One, League Two and the Carabao Cup, showing 27 yellows, no reds and awarding two penalties in that time. His most recent game came in League Two on October 12th, refereeing Barrow’s 1-0 defeat at home to Morecambe.

The Assistant Referees on Saturday will be Jacob Graham and Andrew Ellis, whilst Michael Crusham will be the Fourth Official.
