Odin recruited on loan deal

We are pleased to announce the signing of forward Odin Bailey on a loan deal from fellow League Two side Salford City.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder is capable of playing through the middle or out wide, and has joined the club until January. He will not be available for tomorrow’s League Two fixture against Crawley Town, and will start training with his new teammates from Monday.

A former Birmingham City youth, Odin broke into the first-team set-up at St. Andrews in the 2019/20 season, given his debut in a Carabao Cup tie against Portsmouth before scoring his first goal for the club in the Championship – an 89th minute winner against Middlesborough.

He went on to enjoy successful loan spells with Forest Green Rovers and Livingston, making over 60 appearances across those two spells in both League Two and the Scottish Premiership before leaving Birmingham last Summer to join Salford.

The former England youth international made 22 appearances in all competitions for the Ammies last season, helping them to a club-high finish of seventh in League Two.

He becomes our final signing of the summer transfer window. Welcome to Edgeley Park, Odin!
