Player of the Term: Lamin Touray

Lamin Touray has been named as our Football Education Player of the Term between January and April, after some excellent displays on the pitch. Showing brilliant development in each training session and a positive attitude, we caught up with Lamin to get his thoughts on winning the prize:

Congratulations Lamin! How does it feel to win the Player of the Term award?

I feel very happy to win the award because it shows that all my hard work this season has paid off. I couldn’t have done it without my teammates though, we have all worked hard this season.

What are you hoping to achieve in the next term?

I’m hoping to play more games with the second-years. I just want to keep developing, move up the ranks and possibly train with the scholars in the future.

How have you progressed as a player over the past few months?

My coach, Tony Coyne, has helped me develop so much recently. He has helped me figure out my weaknesses, which has made me a much better player than I was at the start of the season.

How are you enjoying life at County?

I’ve really enjoyed it. I’m really settled, but I’m enjoying that my team has done so well this season, and hopefully we can win the league next season!
