Marc Edwards has been confirmed as the referee for Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup First Round tie against Swindon Town at Edgeley Park.
The game will be the first Edwards’ has taken charge of involving County, having been promoted to the EFL as a referee in 2019. Last season he took charge of 29 games in all competitions, issuing 87 yellow cards and three reds in that time.
So far this season he has overseen 11 games in all competitions in League One (3), League Two (5) and the Papa John’s Trophy (3), showing 35 yellow cards and no reds.
He will be assisted on the day by Mark Jones and Andrew Aylott, whilst the fourth official for this tie will be Gareth Thomas.
