Referee Swabey to take charge of FA Cup tie

Referee Lee Swabey has been confirmed as the man in the middle for Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup second round tie between County and Charlton Athletic, at The Valley.

It will be Swabey’s first time refereeing County, having first been promoted to the EFL as a referee in the Summer of 2015. He took charge of 27 games in all competitions last season, showing 66 yellow cards and two reds in that time.

So far this campaign, he has overseen 16 games in League Two (7), League One (3), the Papa John’s Trophy (4) and the Carabao Cup (2), issuing 58 yellows and three reds. It will be his second time refereeing Charlton so far this season, having took charge of their 2-1 defeat at Colchester in the PJT.

He will be assisted on the day by Dean Treleaven and Michael George, whilst the Fourth Official will be Aaron Farmer.
