Referee Watch: Adam Herczeg in charge for Friday night fixture

Adam Herczeg has been selected as the match referee for Friday night’s League Two clash between County and Salford City at Edgeley Park.

It will be the third time the official has refereed us this season, having also taken charge for our games away at Stevenage Town and Grimsby Town in League Two. He has also refereed Salford once this campaign, overseeing their opening day win against Mansfield Town.

Like County, Herczeg was promoted to the EFL over the Summer. He took charge of 15 first-team games in all competitions last season, mostly in the National League, issuing 56 yellow cards, no red cards and awarding two penalties.

In 22 games so far this campaign, he has shown 60 yellow cards, two reds (one to Ash Palmer in that defeat at Stevenage in August) and pointed to the penalty spot on one occasion. His last game saw him referee Northampton Town’s win at Doncaster Rovers, last weekend.

He will be assisted on the day by Steven Rushton & Steve Durnall, whilst the Fourth Official will be Michael Barlow.
