Edgeley Park host a primary school girl’s tournament!
To celebrate International Women’s Day, Stockport County Community Trust and Cheadle-based lender Together have teamed up to host a primary school girl’s tournament at Edgeley Park. Six local girl’s teams will compete in a football tournament on the home turf of Stockport County’s first team at the end of May.
Three mini pitches will be created on the pitch so three games to be played at one time, with each match lasting for 10 minutes. Live scores will be displayed in a tournament table on the big screen, and families of the players will be invited to watch. The winning team will be presented a trophy, kindly donated by Together, in a ceremony that will take place on the pitch in front of the Danny Bergara stand.
On the day a fun zone will also be set up for teams to use in between their matches, with a target net and the County speed cage, where the fastest player will be awarded a prize!
