Student of the Term: Rhys Blythe

Rhys Blythe was named our Student of the Term for the Autumn term, after showing a great attitude towards his learning and education portion of the programme. Achieving fantastic grades across the term, Rhys has shown a real willingness to learn. We caught up with him to get his thoughts:

Congratulations Rhys, what are your thoughts on winning Student of the Term?

I have one word: surprised. I heard about it, but I didn’t think that I’d win it, so I’m really surprised, but happy about it. I’ve worked hard this term so I’m really happy that it hasn’t gone unnoticed.

How rewarding does it feel after working hard during the term?

It feels good. It feels rewarding to be acknowledged for my hard work, not only in college but outside of college as well, so I’m feeling really good about it. I enjoy learning and playing too, so it feels really rewarding to have found that balance.

What’s in store for next term?

I’m going to keep working hard because I want the best grades possible, so that’s what I’m hoping for. I want to get good grades and continue playing Football too, so I’ll pick up from where I’ve left off.

How are you enjoying life at Stockport County?

It’s good. It’s very busy, but I’m enjoying it. It keeps me on my toes but I everybody at the club is welcoming and it’s a great place to learn and play. Stockport Sports Village is a great venue too, it has everything we need so it really helps.

Are you looking forward to next term?

I am, actually. I’m looking forward to building on the topics that we’re doing now, especially my favourite which is Anatomy and Physiology. It’s something that really interests me and I’m excited to pick it back up after the break.
