Title winner Crankshaw departs

The club can confirm that Ollie Crankshaw has today joined National League side Altrincham for an undisclosed fee, bringing to an end a two-year spell at Edgeley Park.

Ollie joined County from Bradford City in September 2021, scoring the winner on his debut just a few minutes later in a National League game away at Weymouth. He went on to make 41 appearances in all competitions that season, scoring 11 times as the club were crowned champions of the National League.

He will perhaps best be remembered at Edgeley Park for his role in our famous FA Cup win over Bolton Wanderers, scoring County’s fifth goal that night to seal the victory – Dave Challinor’s first win as manager, and one that proved a catalyst for our march back to the Football League.

The 25-year-old leaves Edgeley Park having made 72 appearances for the club, scoring 12 times, and now joins an Altrincham side unbeaten in the National League, in sixth place.

We thank Ollie for his contributions during his time at Edgeley Park, in particular during our title-winning campaign, and wish him all the very best for the future.
