Stockport County is pleased to be supporting local charity Mental Health Carers Group Stockport this weekend, as we welcome them to Edgeley Park on Saturday to carry out a bucket collection ahead of our game against Swindon Town.
Mental Health Carers Group Stockport is made up of people living in the Stockport area who care for or support family members or friends of working age living with a mental health condition.
The group aims to provide warm and friendly support to those people, as well as providing reliable, up to date information.
They aim to use the money raised at Edgeley Park to continue to fund their group meetings held every month. They are also running a campaign to put more funding into newer, cleaner medications for loved ones, which don’t cause side effects such as obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, and heart disease.
