Match Officials Confirmed | Wrexham (A)

Referee Stephen Martin has been selected as the man to take charge of our final day fixture away at Wrexham this weekend.

Martin refereed County for the one and only time almost 13 years ago, overseeing our 1-1 draw away at Lincoln City in the Blue Square Premier back in August 2011.

An EFL referee since 2012, the official took charge of 32 games in all competitions last season, the majority of which came in the Championship. In that time, he issued 139 yellow cards, four red cards and awarded three penalties.

Across the 28 games Martin has officiated so far this season, 20 of which have come in the Championship, the official has shown 128 yellows, two reds and given five penalties. His last game came in the second tier on April 13th, refereeing Sheffield Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with Stoke City.

The Assistant Referees on Saturday will be Matthew Smith and George Byrne, whilst Scott Simpson will be the Fourth Official.
