We are excited to announce the six County legends who will be attending and speaking at the launch dinner on Saturday 3rd July;
Mike Flynn, ‘Captain Fantastic,’ who led the team during the glory years of the 1990’s, playing every game in the Club’s most successful season ever as we achieved promotion to the second tier in 1996/97. Flynny spent nine years in total at Edgeley Park, making over 400 appearances.
Paul Turnbull, or ‘Bully’, who played for the Club in four separate spells and winning two promotions, including captaining the Club to our first league title in 52 years back in 2019.
Bill Williams, who made over 300 appearances for the Club over two different spells after joining from Rochdale, and was part of the club’s promotion winning team in 1991 under Danny Bergara.
Liam Dickinson, who scored the goal that secured the Club’s first ever Wembley win in our 2008 League 2 play-off final victory over Rochdale.
Alan Ogley, who spent eight years at the club after signing from Manchester City in 1967, making over 250 appearances for County and picking up the nickname ‘Sir’ Alan Ogley, he is famously remembered by County fans for his performance in a stunning victory against West Ham in the Cup.
Also attending is Steve Bellis, who will be compering the night. Steve has served the Club in various capacities for over 40 years, however, has recently been appointed as Club President.
The launch dinner will take place on Saturday 3rd July at 5:30pm, until late. The evening will include a three-course meal with a complimentary drink. Book a Table here
