Football Education | Player Pathway Player of the Term | Ollie Wong

First-year player Ollie Wong has been voted as the Player of the Term by the coaches across the Football Education, after a string of fine performances.

Since the turn of the year, Ollie has shown a fantastic attitude on the pitch, which has caught the eyes of the coaching staff at Stockport Sports Village, and his hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Ollie gave his thoughts on winning the award:

How does it feel to win the Player of the Term award?

It feels very good to win the Player of the Term award. It’s great to see good results from the hard work that I have put in.

What has your coach done to help you win this award?

My coach, Rick Chapman, has helped me and my teammates massively. He has put the work in to keep us going in the right direction. We’ve finished the season strong and Rick has put us in contention for the title.

What has been your favourite moment on the pitch since returning in January?

My favourite moment since coming back in January was playing against a team from USA in a friendly game. It was an enjoyable experience, playing against a team from another country. I believe I played well and overall had a good game.

What would you say to someone looking to join next year?

I would say that it is very enjoyable and it’s a great way to earn a good education, while playing a great standard of football coached by a high-level staff.
