Football Education | Player Pathway Student of the Term | Richie Jones

First-year student Richie Jones was nominated for the Player Pathway Student of the Term award by the education staff at Stockport Sports Village, after showing a tremendous attitude in the classroom.

After winning the award, Richie offered his thoughts:

How does it feel to win the Student of the Term award?

To be awarded Student of the Term feels amazing. I’ve worked hard throughout the term, getting all the work done on time and it just feels great.

What have your teachers done to help win the award?

The teachers have done everything to help me work hard. They explain everything in the simplest way possible to help me with the work, and I’m thankful for that.

What have you done this term to set you apart from the rest?

I’ve been more focused throughout this term. I’ve not been distracted and just did the work that is set, and just listened to what needs to get done.

What has been the best part of your time at County so far?

My favourite part of being at County is the team I’m in. The team is amazing to be around, they don’t give up and they are dedicated up until the final whistle in every game.

What would you say to someone looking to join next year?

I would say it’s a good course with people everywhere to help you if you need help. There’s lots of opportunities after you finish the course, which the staff help set up for you.
